John
Lochridge is a child, adult and family psychiatrist who has been in
private practice in Atlanta since 1983. He did his undergraduate
work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attained his
medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He did his
medical internship and psychiatric residency at the University of
Colorado, where he also completed a two-year child psychiatry
fellowship, serving as chief resident.
Dr. Lochridge is a popular speaker for school, church, parent and
business groups and also lectures to physician groups on pharmacology
and medical intervention for depression, attention deficit disorder,
anxiety disorders and other psychiatric conditions. He is often
interviewed and has written numerous articles for local newspapers and
magazines, has been a commentator for local radio and TV stations, and
is a frequent guest and consultant on CNN, including the "Parenting
Today" show.
John and his wife Millie (who is also his office manager) have three
children.
